Sweet Onion Inn Circa 2007

Oh, we have missed you.

An aside: I discovered the Sweet Onion Inn when I was in Vermont to make some adjustments to the custom business software my team and I had developed for a client. The company I work for doesn't just deliver a finished software tool or package we've created via CD-ROM or email and then walk away. We stay with the client as they implement and start using the new software. Once they and us see how the program working, the developer, (in this case me) makes updates and tweaks. I always feel that custom software becomes more useful through the delivery of enhancements and improvements. So there I was in Vermont. After finishing the adjustments for the client, I had planned to take a mini vacation since the fall season with all its magnificent colors was at its height. The Sweet Onion Inn was a great place to explore the surrounding area. I especially appreciated that they served vegan food.  It was not all that common back then to find a B&B that catered to vegans. From a purely selfish point of view, I find it sad that the owners of the Sweet Onion Inn decided to move on, and sold their B&B. You were the best!
